Bringing together expertise in behavioral economics, organizational dynamics, strategic management, consumer behavior, and market strategies, we generate impactful insights for academia, policy, and practice.

The Center for Marketing and Management Studies unites expertise from six research chairs from the Faculty of Economics and Management at the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg:

Our Research Focus

Consumer & Market Behavior

We explore how individuals make decisions in dynamic market environments. By combining behavioral economics, digital market design, and advanced choice modeling methods, we uncover the factors that shape consumer preferences and improve market strategies.

Organizational Behavior & Strategic Management

Focusing on the internal dynamics of firms and leadership in a globalized world, we investigate inclusive management practices, AI-supported resilience, and evidence-based HR interventions to enhance organizational effectiveness and adaptability.

Intercultural & Behavioral Competence

We examine how emotional intelligence, cultural understanding, and virtual collaboration enable success in diverse and international teams. We aim to strengthen cross-cultural capabilities for better global cooperation and leadership.
